ABOUT US
Charleston Area Model Railroad Club or CAMRC was organized in 1983 to give those interested in model railroading an opportunity to have fun, learn, and share with others. In 2008 we had an opportunity to move into our current wonderful home, the Citadel Mall.

The club has members who are actively involved in various scales, including G, HO, O, OO, N, Z, HOe, HOm, & Narrow Gauge. Members may have special skills and interest in particular aspects of the hobby, such as scenery construction, traction, modeling of engines and rolling stock, building structures, and electronics.
Others are new to the hobby and can benefit from the experience and association with the more experienced members. We use Lionel TCS, Digitrax, and JMRI control systems. Recent projects include DCC, Arduino and Raspberry Pi.

Starting originally in 1972, Better known for its name the Best Friend of Charleston Model Railroad Club, Started inside An old Hobby Shop.
